In retrospect, while despicable actions by Rob Manfred, who swiped the 2021 ASG from Atlanta and moved it to Denver a couple months before the game, Atlanta actually benefitted from his. The Braves won the pennant in '21, to Manfred's chagrin, and having that year's ASG in Colorado near the end of the China Virus panic minimized the fun of the events while still at full price. Now with a packed Truist Park and Battery Atlanta, the Heart of the South will have all events at full power and an amazing time for all who attend.
The All-Star game is set for Tuesday, July 15, 2025. That means All-Star Village and other events will be held starting Friday, July 11.
As I had noted last year and confirmed now on the MLB website just recently, the Cobb Galleria Centre ( Two Galleria Parkway, Atlanta, Georgia 30339) is the venue for the Capital One All-Star Village. This is in the area of Cumberland, Woodmere and Smyrna, all northwest of Buckhead, GA. It's in the middle of junctions of I-75, I-285 and US 41.
Hotels in that area may be nearing capacity at this point in early April, but the season just started and most folks are not thinking about the All-Star game except the hardcore fans and ASG Week enthusiasts. There may still be rooms at a reasonable distance from the venues and at a price point if you search and search often. If you find a room in your budget, best thing is to book ONLY IF REFUNDABLE and/or allowing changes at no cost. It is possible rooms are being held in group blocks and if you and search weekly that rooms may open when blocks are released closer to ASGW, maybe at a better price. But best to book refundable/cancellable-at-no-charge in case you can pounce on something better. That's better policy in general!
Player and Staff hotels will be high-end hotels which means likely in nearby Buckhead, as was said in conversation with an MLB staffer I met in Arlington. This would be for the importance of the logistics to move players, staff an alumni between the hotels and event venues. But I have not been able to confirm specific hotels as of this note.
As far as transportation, in years past certain hotels were designated for guests and ticket holders to catch a free charter bus to and from events. There will be an ASG app available closer to the game, and the map of these locations provides a great way to park at little to no cost and ride a bus to the events. Just make sure you know the departure time of the last bus back or you'd need to take a ride share. The app is a must for the week's events.
The first time I attended an All-Star Game was 2004 in Houston. It took just one visit to all things ASG to get hooked.
I'm sharing my experiences attending ASG weeks so you can maximize your visit to the current year's host city.
Hey, Arlington, TX, thanks for an AWESOME 2024 with the All-Star Village at Choctaw Stadium and HRD & ASG at Globe Life Field!
AND, of course not the fault of you fine folks it was so hot!
It's ok to wait to the last minute if you don't get a ticket strip. SeatGeek (I have NO affiliation) currently has tickets on sale. But remember, folks who panic they won't resell their "extra" tickets may drop the price in the days up to and including day of the event. MLB is taking registration for the lottery, https://www.mlb.com/all-star/tickets/ticket-strip-purchase-opportunity to get face value ticket strips.

It's used to be an unpaid gig and was priceless. In 2022, Los Angeles made this a paid position, and the same is the case for Atlanta in 2025!
This is your chance to go behind the scenes of MLB as a member of the All-Star Experience Team.

Most businesses in the vicinity of the ASG get into the spirit of a big event like the ASG. In this case, an unidentified worker at the MLB Staff Hotel puts up signage inside the hotel lobby.

Once the official events by MLB are over for the day, the host city allows visitors and residents alike to immerse themselves into local events. Here, The Kansas City Power & Light District hosted nightly concerts and clubs events.

There are so many events and activities in which to partake, you'll definitely get exercise during ASG Week. But there's nothing like a 5K Run or Walk to see more of the host city. Nice souvenir to have a 5K Shirt and medal (if applicable) to commemorate your visit.
