Topps NOW tiptoed onto the scene in 2016, then went into hyper mode just in time for the Indians and Cubs to meet in an epic World Series.  I did not get into Topps NOW until the Tribe looked like they were heading to the post-season.  Once in, it was a collectors dream to get autographs of players on a card the day after their accomplishments, and relic cards from some of the games, too.  Needless to day, it became a passion to collect the cards of both the Cubs and Indians, and I was pleased to get quite a few. 

In 2017, the Astros* winning at the time (edited with * as of 2020) was a treat despite their leaving their long time and oft visited by me Spring Training home in Kissimmee, FL, just south of me.  I was able to put together the World Series set #'d to 5 with an orange hue. With the Cheating Scandal, it's put a damper on all collecting of recent Astros, and I feel bad for their fans to have to endure fallout from the despicable decisions by the players.

In 2018, the cost of collecting the Red Sox made it a challenge, but I went after a set #'d to 10 with a red hue.  This too was a killjoy within a couple years with the report from The Commissioner's Office crediting Red Sox using Astros tactics to abscond with a trophy.

The 2019 thrill of the victory by the Nationals, also former "neighbors" having left Spring Training in Viera, FL, I collected most of the playoff relics and autos. 

The Rays making the World Series in the epidemic of 2020 was a bittersweet accomplishment, once again chasing autos and relics of my FL team.

In 2021, with the last year of the Indians before disappearing off the reservation with a new moniker and even moreso with my work in Atlanta, the Braves winning was a major coup considering Manfred's regime stealing the All Star game like looters in a Nike store.  I was thrilled to acquire quite a few from the '21 Champs.

2022 was still a fun year of collecting although the Astros being in the Series made it an easy pass in the post season, and seeing a quick exit of the Braves in '22 and '23 I refrained from heavily collecting the Post Season offerings.

The changes in Platinum reservations in 2023 to random packs rather than ability to reserve a specific serial numbered card was the death knell of participation.  I lost much fervor in the program while still appreciating the day by day recording of a season in cards.  

But no matter the teams in the playoffs, thanks to Topps' creativity in putting together a season set and selling day by day, it also affords an opportunity to collect a number of unique cards like autographs and relics from all the events like the ASG, World Series, and the Players Weekend. 

Yes, waiting can be excruciating thanks for players not signing their cards promptly, but once mail day hits it's a thrill to get a card with extra meaning attached to it.
